Default Wanted to say hello

Just wanted to say hey.

I'm new to the PT but not to the 2.4 turbo engine.

I also belong to the St.Louis SRT club.

I sold the SRT and got the PT/GT Cruiser.

Have had alot of muscle cars and have dragraced eversince I could remember.(Not that I can remember that much anymore;I'm getting old)

But anyhow I thought I should at least say hello before I post.

See ya,George

Welcome to the fun. Why'd you sell your SRT 4?

Good to meet ya all.

Wanted more of a family car.
And I get bored easy.[]
Plus I took off all of my GT and 2.4 Turbo emblems and now I got that sleeper PT look go'n on.

But I guess seriously I always liked the PT's for thier street rod look.
Cool cars.
Plus a little easier for the wife to take it for a drive compared to the SRT.

I have only had it for a few months and we like it a lot.
I have a 6yr old girl and a 3yr old girl and thats the first thing they say is;Are we going to take the PT?And of course it always yes.

Anyway good to meet ya,George

Yeah, my GT is debadged, too. The only badge on it now is the stage 1 badge on the lower right hand corner of the tailgate. Most people don't know what that means. Even removed the PT CRUISER badges on the doors. Looks so much cleaner. I like the sleeper look. Fooled a couple of members in my PT club on the freeway when I threw it in 3rd and punched it to catch up to the rest of our group. When we stopped for ice cream they asked me what the heck I had under the hood because I had a "base model". [?] Yes, the PT is very functional. My wife has an '01 PT that was my 1st PT. We love 'em. Have to love the SRT 4 for the power, though.

Welcome to the club and to a new lifestyle. If you find a local club in your area you'll have even more fun going on cruises together, showing off your car, help with modifications, etc.

There are also a few of here that have been or are still "old" hot-rodders...I've had a few myself including three Corvettes, a couple of Mustangs,a 68 Camero, a Falcon Sprint,57 Chev w/Vette heads & 4-spd
and one or two I've probably forgot. I've also had three drag-cars with my current ride listed in my signature.

But the best of em all in my opinion is my GT. There is nothing like a lil hi-tech 4-cylinder that will run almost 100 in the Qtr. mile, easily excelerate (pass) someone on the highway...from 60 to 80+ MPH with a flick of the shifter from 5th to 3rd, and still haul all your camping gear or groceries for a month, and best yet do it in style[?]

You've just entered the "fun zone"[^]

Deen

Sounds like you all have some cool cars.

And yes nothing like a sleeper.

And I will have to look up the local PT club and see whats up.I do still belong to the St.Louis SRT Club too.The guys there are all real cool, made alot of good friends there. They told me that I better still go to the club get togethers or I would be in trouble.

Again good to meet you all.

George

Nice, thats what I would like to acomplish soon.

Was thinking about tradeing the wifes car in and getting another SRT.

If all the cards fall in the right place.
