04 GT 5-Speed Manual
My Set-up for this run is: Rear Seats are OUT, Spare and Jacks are REMOVED, floor board is REMOVED, 1/4 tank of 91 California Octane. Mods: Mopar Dual Exhaust, VAK pipes (Colorful pipes), SSR Competitions 17x7.5, Mopar Short Shifter, H&R Coils (Set at 1.5" F 2.0" R), Xenon/CC Body Kit, Stock Box Silencers are removed. Stock PCM (Stage 0). 1st Run R/T: .008 60': 2.384 (Wheel hop was very bad, I had to lift accelerator) 330: 6.592 1/8: 10.015@74.15MPH 1000: 12.916 1/4: 15.336@92.26MPH I ran with Mihoshi (03 Auto GT, Stage 0)on this Run and lost to his 15.263@89.02MPH. However, he red lighted at -.070 and I won by default. I ran the close to the same setup as Mihoshi to see if the H&R Coilovers were the factor why Mihoshi was running low 15s time, appears that the H&R Coilovers are pretty good investment, but be prepared for a harsh ride with that type of suspension setup. 2nd Run R/T: -0.065 60': 2.412 (Wheel hop was minimal, but still apparent) 330: 6.630 1/8: 10.118@71.66MPH 1000: 13.047 1/4: 15.495@91.96MPH I ran with rice_killing_GT (03 Auto GT, Soo many mods that the Tech Inspector classify him as a risk) on this run and lost to his 14.359@94.10MPH. As his name puts it, he kills riced out GT's. Apparently, my Xenon body kit didn't help me out that much on this run . After some motivational words to RKGT (Well, actually I was trash talking and giving him the thumbs down), RKGT finally came closer to his personal best time. |

Man, it was packed last night! We only got in two runs 'cause of all the cars there, plus all the stupid "demonstration" runs they did. I do not need to see a pair of hotrodded semi trucks that can do 11-12 second passes 3 times in one night!! Or any of the other "demo" dragsters that have to shut down early because the runout area isn't long enough for them to stop if they do a ful run!
End of rant. Did my runs with my usual setup - back seats out, spare and jack in. Tried an experiment using a length of 2.5" hose running from the brake duct next to the fog light, up through the inner fender liner, and feeding into the air filter. Made no difference whatsover so I'm getting rid of it. 1st Run R/T: .376 60': 2.207 330: 6.174 1/8: 9.532@73.07MPH 1000: 12.489 1/4: 14.990@89.76MPH Went up against some goofball in a yellow Mustang with a ton of stickers all over it. He couldn't figure out how to stage and ended up just sitting there while I made my pass. Oh well. 2nd Run R/T: .437 60': 2.222 330: 6.190 1/8: 9.538@72.99MPH 1000: 12.461 1/4: 14.918@91.40MPH Ran against an SRT-4 and lost (yeah, big shock!) to his 13.738 @ 102.79 |
