darn, i wish you were local to delaware. have you taken it to the track?

Never been to a track, I'd like to go, but I really need to put a few more ponies under the hood so I don't look really stupid. Although I think I could take anyone off the line (cocky college student talking), I'd get wasted by the time I dropped to second. I have a lot of quiet winding backroads where I live, but no big racing as of yet.

You guys are always talkin about smokin those ricers, but I don't hear any "I got killed" stories.

I had a Tangerine Dreamer try me the other day. I just took it up to the speed limit (55) and let off and watched him catch up and fly by. I don't race on the street. Oh yea..I was in the Vette.

I got burned by an IS 300 a while back. He was already 2 car lengths in front of me when I was going through 2nd gear. Not many people will run against a PT Cruiser, those that do usually get smoked by me.

I got killed by an 03 electra blue GT with dual boost controller, stage 1, bov, exhaust, lowering springs, intake, drag radials & rims, strut bar, anti-sways, a few other list of mods that California Speedway had to inspect. He ran 14.3secs to my 15.4secs

I kept up with a stock IS300. I knew it was stock since he still had the temp plates on. I didn't want to pass him up since it was a no passing zone. But I think I would have spanked him if I tried, since everytime he sped up, I kept up with him.

I got it handed to me by a 911 Turbo! He was PO'd because I passed him on an S curve (two lane off-ramp) and he had to sit behind me staring at my (911) Turbo emblem! He pulled out from behind me and was gone in a nano-second! I made up for it on the next two Mustang GT's I saw! Now you talk about serley when they get beat, especially when they see the white hair![8)]

After beating a couple of Mustang GTs at the track (what I refer to as "eating horse meat") I took the opportunity to try one on the street. I got the jump, mostly because he was caught off guard, but then he put his foot in it and got by me. I could tell by the sound of it under power that I had chosen badly....this was a heavily built 'stang! Sitting at the light I had no clue because he was on my passenger side and I had the tunes crankin'.

I pulled up next to him at the next light, we rolled down our windows, and he says something to the effect of "dude, what the hell you got in that thing? I was worried for a second 'cause I never thought a PT could move so fast!" We talked while waiting for the green, then just slowly rolled off side by side. Cool guy.
