WRX owners think they're a bunch of badasses because they own a factory vehicle designed supposedly for rally racing. Both cars weigh practically the same, and the WRX has 7 more horsepower, but about 30 less pounds of torque. Numbers don't lie, but people sure can.

The first WRX seems to be in the realism that no one is unbeatable. We the PT peeps know this, but thats why we are having fun and suprising others with our quiks in a block form on wheels. The other WRX AREUKIDDINGME is kidding himself and beating his little drum to make himself feel good.He just needs to give the right PT a shot, and his little dream world will blow out his 8 inch exhaust pipe.I have played with evos and wrx's and they will not leave me behind unless I get wheel spin in a turn.[?]

I think we all know a Stage 1 Cruiser CAN take a WRX. But a EVO or STI? I think we all know that's a different race.

So, to the new "uhavetobekiddingme" dude, congratulations your nearly $40k 4-door factory race car can smoke us. Unfortunately, it's still one of the ugliest cars on the road.

Hey guys. My name's Danny and I drive a WRX. Don't ask me how I ended up here, I dunno. But when ever someone in our forum start to nock some other car we usually yell at them and hit them with rocks. There aint no reason to get all upity it's not like we're all assholes. Word on the forum is an STi with tbe can run 12.6 maybe lower. I forget cause I drive a WRX and reading about STi times just makes me feel inadequate. Now, you guys have the same engine as the SRT-4 right? Well I get my ass handed to me by every SRT-4 I've ever seen. I don't see why it should be different for you guys.
Glad to see other WRX owners on the boards. I also notice there is a WRX links.com affiliate with this site too. Most of the WRX owners I met are pretty cool people. My brother use to own a WRX (unfortunately, he had to use the lemon law on it). They are pretty sweet cars and a joy to drive.

The PT GT's come in automatic and manual (not many manuals running around). They do have the same engine as an SRT-4, but the PCM is pretty tame (not very aggressive)on the PT's. Stage 1 helps alot in brning the GT's engine to the SRT-4 power levels, but still some subtle differences. The PT's gearing, transmission type, aerodynamics, weight, and exhaust system comes into play in making them slower than a stock SRT-4's.

When I get my new mounts, I might drop by LACR. Otherwise, I'll be at Fontana, CA California Speedway on the 13th with Mike-in-Orange and few others. All are welcome for friendly competitions .

He, like many others, are probably confused at what he is talking about. He is just talking to the N/A PT crowd and not aware of the potential of the GT.[:I]

With my lightly modded '04 WRX(not STi) any time, any place.(within the Philadelphia Tri-State area) I welcome the "challenge". BTW the STi is far from a 40k car. If I bought an STi and put that much cash in.....I'd be on the Z06 board talking trash.

Have you taken your car to the track? If so, you would know some #'s and realize that some people here are in the 13's , one guy did a 13.2 When i went to the track i saw a WRX race, it did a 15.2. This was the same day i did a 14.8 in my stage 0 PT. I am not bashing WRX's at all. i personally LOVE the cars, its just that you think that a PT can NOT be fast. Well, it might be a lot easier to mod a WRX, you can still mod a PT and get some impressive #'s for a family car

please don't flame me for joining just to post in this thread, but hear me out. I don't care much for people talking stats and what not, so i only believe in what a car can do when i see it. I know the PT can have a 4 cyl. turbocharged engine and i would like to see how it compares to a wrx. I own a '04 wagon and if somebody around Northern NJ or even in the general tri-state area would like to get together some time to compare cars, i'd love that. right now i'm basically stock, but if a stage 1 wants to meet up some time i'll go out and get a new exhaust so the mods will all be equal. i'm always looking for reasons to mod my car so this would be an awesome one to get a new exhaust. nothing but friendly competition here!
