), just telling the cold hard facts. Still, I've beaten Mustang GTs with my car, and never would have thought that to be possible. I'm sure the Mustang drivers didn't either! Anyway, I've witnessed first hand PTs running 14.2 and have seen discussions of guys getting into the mid to low 13s. I know many of the PT GT guys have successfully raced WRXs in the past, but who knows why the WRX lost; bad driver, bad reaction time, traction problems, or the particular PT was just plain faster than the particular WRX? I also know PT drivers who have lost to WRXs, so it works both ways....as it almost always does. I'm a big fan of the WRX, and I think of lot of non WRX fans don't realize the difference between the STi and non STi, just like many people aren't aware of what a PT GT can do. We can trash talk each other all we want, and it means jack. There's no point to it....the only thing that matters is when we go head to head. If the loser starts making excuses then he's just that, a loser. Whom ever loses the race, whatever race it might be and whatever cars you're racing, just needs to take it like a man and admit the other car was faster. Because guess what? There's ALWAYS someone faster. |

Hoopdiewagon, don't put down N/A's man, we have a few tricks up our sleeves too. There has been many a time when I've roasted higher displacement cars out there, and they never saw it coming. Driver ability has a bit to do with it as well. Plus, we N/A's don't have to worry about overboosting and overheating more than just the engine.

W0RX4ME I live in the Philly area and I'm down for a little friendly competition. I have an automatic Cruiser with stage one and a FIPK cai from K&N. I hung out with a couple of WRX guys last night. Everybody was cool and had a great variety of WRXs and 2.5RSs. I have't raced anyone to speak of yet or had it at the track. So i'm kinda of curious how it will stack up against a WRX. To all the Turbo Cruisers in the Philly/Bucks County area I would like to arrange some kinda of meet in the near future. Mabye evan a Turbo Cruiser vs WRX at ATCO RACEWAY in Jersey. Everybody is ready to talk about the win and not about the time there ass was handed to them by another car so lets hear about the losses. Seems like everybody is a winner in the world of forums.

Hopefully this guy will show up and bring some of his friends, so that we can pair off and have some fun. BTW, I ran a WRX (stock manual) 3 times in the 1/8 mile lost 2 and won 1. I'll post the time slips ltr. All that other crap about EVO's and STI's is just plain BS for a S1/CAI only PT. FYI, it takes about 290.2 WHP for a 3383lbs PT to run 13.2 in the 1/4. 240WHP won't do it. 240 WHP equates to 14.071 in the 1/4 mile. However if you take the 240WHP PT and hit it with a 50 shot of NOX then voila, you have your 290WHP PT and your 13.2's. (btw this is all math, but you get the idea). Finally, I'm at 213WHP, so I'm expecting to run 14.6 to 14.8 at Fontana. It appears that my expectations are a tad bit high. I should expect to run a 14.4 or 14.5, yeah right! It's just amazing how much BS shows up around here e.g. "I ran a 13 this and I ran a 13 that." But when the question is asked what mods do you have, the answer provided is a list of items that just don't add up. If K2 who has a PSFI PWR PAQ etc has not broken 13's then....... anything less is just BS, cause it don't add up. Finally, I will be at Fontana on the Nov 13, let's see if we can get some WRX folks to show up. m~ (MR8)

After writing that I do realize you guys are right, WRX owners are ALL cocky. Even nice ones. But that's why I bought it, so I could be cocky. And get the babes. The babes haven't really been gotten yet, but they will, oh they will. Hey give me a website or directions to Cali Speedway and I'll see you guys out there. Danny |

Sorry I quoted the WRX STI as a near $40k car. I stand corrected.
Now I'm not incorrect in saying that a WRX will not get chicks (the PT doesn't seem to work either). I need a Vette.
