There were rumors flying around especially since some of the spy shots showed a cruiser higher off the ground than normal which is what probably would happen if they decided to go for AWD. Then everything went quiet. Heck, it would be nice if Crysler would step up to bat and throw in an LSD.

I remember reading an article somewhere that DCX already scrapped the idea of an AWD Cruiser.

I wouldnt rule anything out just yet. I hear that the next Neon will share its platform with the Mitubishi Lancer which in turn as we all know is the platform for the beloved EVO. SO lets keep the dream alive.
Who know mabey they can build a PT EVO IX.[8)]

To be honest, it would boil down if a market exist for an AWD Turbo Cruiser. I'm placing my bets that its not likely to happen, eventhough platform sharing exist between Mitsubishi.

I would take DCX more seriously if Stage 2 for the cruiser was released, however, if its this hard for them to even toss out Stage 2, I can only imagine the realistic chances of an AWD Turbo Cruiser.

We will be lucky to see a continuation of the PT at all since it was a product of the "old" Chrysler design group. The new guys like RWD boxy big grill stuff. Don't expect too much..........why else would they be spending so much time asking our opinion, and supporting our DC connection aftermarket; oh, that's right, they aren't.

Enjoy the PT you have, don't expect to get another. Current thought is that they can film flam you into forgetting all the slimy stuff and lack of support with the next big thing.[8)]

Exactly.

They cant even put out another AWD Eclipse. Their 99 GSX's which were turbo AWD still go for like 15-20K *gasp*

The AWD Turbo Eclipes is so damn high because the new ones suck. FWD, Overweight and underpowered.....more of a girls car than the old street beasts. But if the next gen eclipse comes in AWD turbo, it will likely be so pricey only rich kids and old men would buy it. And the price of the older ones might go up.
