Mine does it, and I understand that it is's typical.

Try searching, I think this has been discussed before.

try adding an extra ground wire between the battery ground and the body. The groud wire provided by chrysler is not heavy enough for the load. If you search the forum you will see all discussions on it.

Hope it help

I haven't noticed my headlights dimming, but I have noticed occasional flickering. At first I thought I was imagining it, but I'm pretty sure it happens. I haven't been able to duplicate it in the driveway and it doesn't happen much, so I haven't a clue why it happens. If I took it in to the dealer there's no way they'd be able to duplicate it, so I'm just waiting 'til I'm in there for something else or my headlights fail entirely. Anybody got any bright ides?

I need to add a ground wire! I used to see the lights dim when I hit the brakes, but since I added the JLAudio Stealthbox/Alpine 200w amp they pulse when I crank it. I may have to add a cap to the system, but I didn't think it was enough to warrant all that. I'm going to try the upgraded ground and see how that goes.

lights that dim - need a capacitor, current draw exceeding alternator output or power taken from fuse block and not direct from battery. (Amps should have their own power cable of 4ga wire direct from battery with an in-line fuse no more than 18" from battery)
lights that flicker - poor bridge rectification on the part of the diodes in the alternator. Basically a bumpy DC signal. A capacitor would cure this problem as well.

I have a 8 gauge fused wire running straight from the amp to the battery. The amps ground wire is also 8 gauge and takes a very short run directly to the chassis.

how big of an amp?
under 500w 8ga would prob be ok.
I wanted to be prepared if I ever decide to upgrade the power I wont have to run new wiring plus if i want to tap other accessories from the line I can.
