GR8FLPT, yep, that's with all the mods I have on the car - Stage 1, VAK, Magnecor wires, plugs gapped to .042, BTG cat/back duals (although I don't think the exhaust gives me anything other than a cool sound). I ran that 14.55 1/4 just last weekend.

I just enjoyed the fun of a "race", and although I'm disappointed I didn't clearly stick it to the WRX, I now don't think I can blame it on my car. I tried a couple of launches (on a suitable street) on my way home from work on Friday, and my car performed perfectly. I left trac on and just put the pedal down rather than trying to feather it to avoid wheelspin. I can't imagine a better launch than the car provides if given the chance to do its thing. The computer allows a little wheelspin letting the revs come up quickly and its just one very strong rush through first gear. Damn this car is fast!!! I think by being tentative, I may have messed with the computers brain and caused the bog I experieced against the WRX. As I said I drive my car pretty easy and haven't done this little bit of practice that may have helped. Next time I'll be prepared!!
