1:12.394...is that good? [:I] Looks like others knocked down all the cones before the PT got there.

Not too shabby, but I would love to see some footage from outside the car!

I wonder what suspension changes he made. My GT doesn't corner that flat. Sounds like a BOV talking when he lets off the throttle. Surprised we don't hear more tire squeal. Front wheel drive cars typically are not the best autocross vehicles due to the tendency to plow when pushed to the limit. Good case for a rear sway bar as long as it doesn't get so big that the rear end tries to lead (makes for a real mess when you take out a row of cones).
Looks like a pretty nice run. Smooth. The two smoothest runs are those where you are a long way from the limits and those right at the limits but extremely well executed.

The PT Turbo does not much turbo lag but even a little lag can really hurt your time in autocrossing. The driver should have kept it in lower gears with more RPMs, maybe?
Heavier than those "pocket rockets" out there but more HP. He/she looks to be having fun and that's the main point.[?] |

Nice video! Adding a rear sway bar to my GT flattened it out quite a bit. There are lots of FWD cars that are set up to autocross well. My son and I autocross an old rabbit and we have only been off the podium once (DNF-broken brake line)in the last 44 events.
Crewzin, the cones that are laying down are called pointer cones and they tell you what side of the cone to be on, used in slaloms a lot. That was a pretty easy and well marked course. We don't run chalk lines on ours anymore. Makes it more challenging. ![]()

Here I am in our real autocross car. If you look closely, you will see that there are only 3 wheels on the ground. Less friction that way [8)]

Nope, you don't make class champions three years in a row by knocking down the cones. Autocrossing is a blast! If they have it around where you live, go out and try it once. [8)]
