Andy, I don't see why us S1 people would be pissed [:I] We're pulling for ya. and applaud? your times. One thing is, you're at the end of your rope so to speak. You're times can't get to much better WITHOUT a stage upgrade. It's a similar situation to those who have engine management systems, EBC, aftermarket BOV and such. They aren't pulling much better times than those of us that don't have those mods. YET. But in the end they will after they figure their individual setups out.
Maybe throw a set of DR's on that puppy and your times will drop even more. I'm sure if we as a group could eliminate the wheel spin, everyones times would drop [:I] Damn, did i get off topic or what [:0] Anyways, CONGRATS, great times and keep up the good work! [^]

Great times Mr. Blonde! I don't know why, but it seems you East Coast guys run a couple tenths faster than we do here in California. Maybe it's our oppressive heat, stiff headwind at the track, and 91 octane gas. I'm not making excuses, just telling it like it is......it would be fun to meet up someplace in the middle and see how the East Coast/West Coast cars compare under identical circumstances.

It would be interesting to see if this trend is consistant among groups like the WRX or Evo boys.

Everybody should come to Texas and settle things out that way.
It's in teh middle of the country, *tons* of drag strips with
Fun & Grudge runs every weekend, and I'll finally be able to
run with PTs again. (The local PT groups sure seem to be all
show and no go... [:I] )

I belong to two PT clubs and I'd say they are 98% all show and no go, but they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Some in our groups have GT's, but have no interest in upping the performance. There are a few of us, strictly in the minority, who are reaching for the sky as far as performance. You have to remember that PT clubs started when there were no GT's, by folks who are content with just cruising.

The same east coast/west coast discrepancy exists in the Impala SS community. I think the idea is that the west coast tracks are at a higher altitude than say Cecil Co. Dragway which is close to sea level. We just have better atmospheric conditions, and the starting line isn't half bad there either.

We always go to Cecil Co. Dragway in the cold months to get the best timeslip possible. The Washington Area Impala club will be there on the 11th of December to do just that.
