As opposed to your 03 GT? Differences include some interior add ons and bigger injectors but not much else. *i think*

Given that little has changed, and the fact that trade in values really stink right now, I don't see a whole lot of reason to make a change.

Also on the 05 turbo didnt they go to a plastic intake manifold??

I had heard that too. But the intake manifold on my '05 GT convertible is exactly the same on my wife's '03 GT. Some sort of cast aluminum.

I doubt that the 05 GT's will have a plastic intake manifold, the amount of heat generated by the turbo and exhaust would melt the plastic intake manifold like there is no tommarrow.

That is the truth. Never put anything (wire looms, etc.) in the rear of the engine above the turbo-charger unless you want to experience "melt-down". I know. [B)]

with so many 04's around, why buy an 05' ?
i just picked up a silver 04' GT 5-speed.
love it, can't wait to start the mods.

You can probably get a better deal on an 04,There sure a lot on the lots.I think the price on the 05's has gone down. I was at the dealer the other day and they had an -04 sticker was 25700 and the 05
with the same stuff on it was 24 something,but of course they will deal a lot more on the 04
