Whichever type of oil you pick, don't get any diesel oil. It's a heavier weight designed for engines with load pounding torque. The PTGT's engine clearances require a lighter weight oil.

i wasent thinking about a heavy oil, like 15/40 or 20/50. Up here, i can get a 0/30 diesel oil. however, i will use a 5/30 if i can find one that is "turbo approved" like they use'd to be. or if that even matters any more. My boss back in 92 with his 3 cyl. turbo firefly had to use "turbo approved" oil. thats been 11 yeras, is there such a thing as "turbo approved" oil any more?

Mobil 1 is available at Canadian Tire. EVERYBODY up here has a Canadian Tire store don't they? Right next to the Tim Hortons.

I just went for my first oil change, 1500 mi. The service manager said the book called for a "turbo approved oil", which ended up being Penzoil 10W30 in this case. I will be changing to Synthetic when I hit 4000 mi.

Heard lots of good things about Castrol 0W-30 synthetic. It is a European made oil better than other Castrol synthetics sold in US and Canada. Not widely sold in the US yet but from what I read it is in Canada. Worth looking into if you can't get Mobil 1.
