Default Exhaust manifold

So yesterday i start hearing this loud whine from my car. Sounds like the turbo is cooked. Then the check engine light goes on. Took it to my buddy at the dealership, turns out to be a manifold gasket issue. No big deal but the engine light was caused by "plugs and wires". 3 out of 4 cylinders were missing due to fouled plugs and bad wires. (or the other way around) Not sure why this happened but I should find out when I get my car back tomorrow. They are also checking why it wont shift into 3 without seemingly bouncing off the gear first. 26,000 miles.
The only good thing is they gave me a Magnum RT for the last few days.

I got a 5 speed. Please let us know what you found out. I'd get rid of those crappy factory spark plug wires and get aftermarket like Magnecor, MDS, or Crane and I'd gap the plugs at .040. You will notice a difference in throttle response and engine smoothness throughout the rpm range.....Is the RT with the six or the Hemi? Love the Magnum.

What are your driving impressions of the Magnum RT?

I planned on buying one this year but the trade-in value of my PT is so low that I couldn't swing it. I might as wait for the Magnum SRT-8 now.

I'm just waiting to find out why, but it was the intake manifold leaking, causing a buildup of crud which killed the plugs. "But"... three of my plug wires were arcing so I wont know why until Monday. Maybe a catch can is a good idea??

The magnum was the Hemi... really nice car. Really BIG though. Fairly quick but I'd put my PT against it in a flash. The ESP is really cool, this rear wheel drive car was better in the snow than my PT! And brake assist was weird. I had a slight panic stop and I guess it reads how fast you go from gas to break and how hard and takes over. Very cool.

But my wife prefered the SRT-4 I had for a few day's last month so I think i'll be looking that way soon.

Definitely get a catch can. It will help greatly with the "crud" build up.
