2U,

If the engine light is on, the computer will set a code. Turn the key towards the on position 3 times stopping in the forward position without actually starting the engine. The guage lights will form number and letters to give you a code. It should read something like: P0017

Come back here with the codes that the PT flashes and somebody will try and help. AutoZone will also read the codes for you if you have one in the area.

With only 1K on the odometer, I'd drive straight back to the dealer.

Pull the codes, as Crewzin said, so you know what it is - my guess is it'll be a plug misfire - get new wires and plugs out of it form dealer - there's a service bulletin about plugs on turbos, and says to replace wires also.

Have you had any hesitation prolblems or any other symptoms? Check the intake tract and make sure all clamps are tight from the airbox down. I forgot to tighten a clamp once and got a light.

Um, has anyone thought of the obvious (& 90% of these types of complaints)? The gas cap not being on tight?

It may be tight, but, was it filled while running?
