Default Tranny Shifts Rough

Had my automatic tranny fluid and filter changed at 36,000 miles and the fluid looked great and very little metal particles suspended in the fluid or in the pan bottom. Used Chrysler ATF4 direct from my local stealer! But when I drove it home from the mechanics it would not down shift smooth. It was great in the manual mode but very hard sudden down shifts when I went to stop from any speed over a crawl. Problem was that the tranny had to relearn and my dealer did that for me at no charge! Coincidence or did my mechanic cause the memory to go bad??[:I][:I]

any time the fluid is changed or the battery is disconnected. It lets the computer learn how much fluid is needed to perform functions. Any time anyone has a trans problem, check the fluid, and then do a relearn.
