GT with automatic trans and gas mileage

Thanks SteelBlueGT and budrzgt thats what I was looking for. My car is acting normal. But I still think one of the reasions for the poor MPG is the OD shift point. Think about it if you drive around town and the speed limit is 35 or below the car never shifts into OD. This is not the case with my caravan and thats a heavy van. I wonder if the shift point can be changed anybody know anything about this?
