i hope it doesn't sound like i'm ragging on you, but! I saw your signature picture (BLack gt with modded liscence frame). I would definitely move your plate, it cutting off a lot of air flow to your intercooler, and is most likely costing you horse power....[:P]

I agree. I have read that repositioning the front license plate to below the bumper will reduce the amount of air needed by the GT Turbo's engine. Some are NOT recommending that this be done because it could possibly cause some problems later on.... What about engine warranty considerations? As much as I don't care for that black license plate holder, mine is staying put. Just my two cents.

Gary and everyone else, paint it! I had a little paint blem on the front bumper when I got my GT and the body shop my service rep. recomended painted the lic. bracket too for free! You won't believe the difference! I'm in the process of getting some pictures up somehow, have to do it the old fashioned way, scanner etc. pain in the butt! Hopefully soon.

Nope, me too. I can't seem to justify the price of the digi cameras. Evertime I look at them I think, but I can get this or that for the PT and usually do. I'm obsesed! Mod fever...

Coptzer...doesnt sound like ragging at all..i appreiciate the advice..info I didnt have when I first put that bracket on...
Anyway I was looking at it...the bottom edge of the plate has created a horizontal groove in the lowest area of the fascia (@#$%!) that would need to be repaired if I would move the plate!! What would you think about drilling some (or lots) of holes in the plate??
I do like Kgdptblue's alternative tho.
I REALLY like Bstocktums air cylinder mod that tilts the plate at 8psi....thats SICK!!

Holes would probably help but hard to say how much.... What about inspection? sure we have a long time now before but it will eventually come around.. oh and Rob it does look sweet!<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

Oh and the digi camera is well worth the $$$ if u get the right one....I suddenly became a photographer when I got mine!!!

Thanks for the great idea...I had been trying to come up with something to hide that U-G-L-Y thing. Since my car is getting painted today anyway I asked them to paint the License Plate holder and they are going to do it for free... (Which probably means that they are overcharging me for the paint in the first place...D'oh)
