Default Turbo and auto programming

I've noticed my turbo lite doesn't downshift as readily as my '02 N/A did. This morning, for example, I was cruising nicely at only 1500 RPM in 4th, and could ease on the gas, where I'm sure my '02 would've downshifted if I touched the gas.
I like it - always annoyed me that my '02 would downshift so often. It makes sense, the turbo has more torque and won't bog down as readily.
Anybody know if programming is different on downshifts for turbo vs N/A? [:I]

Don't know if the actual programming is different but as you said the additional torque of the turbo or turbo lite over the NA model would make the transmission less likely to downshift so often. I haven't had a NA model PT to compare it to but my GT takes quite a bit of throttle going up a hill to get it to downshift on its own.

I have never driven a NA Cruiser but I do put my Cruiser in manual mode gear 4 when I do go up or down big hills on the highway so not to downshift and cost me MPG!
