Default Electric Oil Pressure Unit

I'm interested in putting in a electric oil pressure sending unit. Anyone on the forum know the NPT fitting or thread size that would fit the oil plug opennng on the block.

Thanks

Dunno, but have a suggestion. Why not put in a "T" fitting and keep the idiot light and add the gauge. [:I]

thought about that, I think there might be too much flex with the extension on the tee for both the oem sender and the electric sending unit. The oil plug on the block by the air box is still the best place for the aftermarket sender.

Thanks for the idea

Take a look down by the oil filter. There is a plug in the pan (actually 3) I have been told the one on the end facing to the rear is an excellent place to put the oil pressure sending unit. The head position evidently gives lower readings than the actual oil pressure. CJJ

thanks for the info, I'll take a look for it this weekend. If it works out, I'll try putting one there at the next oil change.

There is a plug at the driver side of the head. Thats where I put mine and the sending unit fit perfectly with no adapter needed.

Is your electric or mechanical? i have a electic sending unit that comes with a 1/8" NPT ends. When I take the plug out should I expect a steady run of engine oil coming out of it?

Thanks
Paw
