Default Battery Terminals

Took a good look at those terminals and was wondering how do I get them off? Just loosen the nut and bolt and they twist off or do I have to open up those goofy looking clamps somewhow??

Loosen the bolt and wiggle a bit while pulling. There is a tool they sell (cheap) with clamps that grab the sides of the battery clamp and a center screw post that pushes down on the battery terminal.
