FATHERS & FAMILIES EXPO - a Good Cause

The Fathers and Families Expo will be held on Saturday May 16th.

I work with Leon and Eve and they've asked me to see if we "The Wayfaring Cruisers" and friends would like to display our Pt Cruisers at this event. There is no judging we would just hang out together for the day and enjoy the music and possibly win a door prize! I've never been to one of these events so I don't know what to expect. I assume it's like any other car show. I know it falls on the same day as the Muskogee Cruisn' Angels Car Show so I don't expect any replys. So I told her I would let her know something Tuesday January 20th! I also told her it falls on the same day as Cruisn Angels and that the club participates in it every year. So if you are interested in displaying your PT Cruiser in the Fathers and Families Expo please let me know.
**At this point, it sounds like some of the Wayfaring Cruisers will be attending this evnt to show support for the great cause!

here it goes: The Fathers and Families Expo is associated with the Fatherhood Coalition here in Tulsa Oklahoma. Our rep Leon Skillens among others like the Tulsa Police Department and Fire Department and Huffy the Clown and local charities come together to try and get Fathers more involved in their childrens lives. It's usually held in Tulsa (location has not been determined). They have live music, sometimes its a live band or a DJ and they have lots of door prizes, consessions among other things. Last year it was held at the Dream Center in North Tulsa one year it was held in the Quik Trip Center (formerly the IPE building on the fairgrounds). A car show display has been suggested since this event took off it's been going on now for a good 4 or 5 years. Each year Eve Taylor my coworker looks for a car club to come out. Last year she was having trouble getting any car clubs to commit to this event. I had posted for May 2008 but since it's on the same day as the Cruzn Angels I didn't get a good reply. So she asked me again yesterday to see if the PT Cruisers would be interested in coming out to show off their beautiful cars. So I told her I would try again. I even suggested some other car clubs she may contact...just in case I don't come through. If you have any suggestion on a local car club who may be interested in helping out the Fathers and Families Expo please let me know. I would appreciate it! THANKS!
