Basically don't let it be too loud, and don't tint the front windows lower/darker than factory. The police won't worry about the rest. Seriously. If you have dark front windows, and they can not see through the vehicle as a result of the rear window tinting, you will be noticed. It should have a tint shop certification on the drivers side window if it has non factory tint.

The exhaust can be louder than factory, but if you aren't doing anything wrong they won't bust your chops.

Cool Re: Texas Modification Laws

It's all about attitude. I notice those who race and cause attention to themselves will have the police magnetic on their rears. If you drive NORMAL and drive with traffic not zig zagging through it all will be just fine.

Have our PT cruiser bumper being painted since a driver hit ours in the parking lot of a supermarket and left their license plate imprint in it. Only problem is that it was painted , ready for pick up and the color didn't match the rest of the car even though the computer color code said it was the right color. French Vanilla is hard to match a 2007 year old car paint job. The bumper looked egg white instead. The guy told us he it would fade yellow as white cars do but won't match for a couple years. THAT is TOO long to wait. He will take the car to the paint people to have them add to the mix. Problem is the new paint these days ...the clear coat brings out the color...harder to match. Wish us luck.

It's not just a matter of MPG... it's the ride! Still wish it was better!

Hey sifu, NuYork here, I see you're in Kyle, starting a club and was wondering if you wanted to check it out. A variety of ages. It's in the Hill Country, if you're interested, drop me a note. barros228@yahoo.com
