Default Mexican parts, any cheaper than local?

I just went to an all inclusive by Cancun, and saw a PT GT dream cruiser. I then started to think that, maybe, parts would/could be somewhat cheaper than in US/Canada, as they are made there in Touluca.

Do any of you Southern US people gone there and tried to get parts? Se habla espaniole?

I am from Canada, so even some US prices are a bit pricey for us. Ok, ok, I am a cheap &*()*@#.

Thoughts, observations.
