John,

Son lives on Hillcreek Turn, Midlothian. Will be going up on the 7th of September for a week, but not in the PT. E-mail me on this or one of the other forums and we'll exchange numbers.

Yes he was nice to do business with. I went with the Burgundy also and went a little overboard ordering it...I got the 60ft package and I think I have about 30 feet left over. [:I]

Are you going to do the sunroof, gearshift, Light behine the sunroof, Upper pillars on the doors, cargo area. You can use the extra welts you have.

That was my original plan (to do everything) but I quit after the front bits and the doors. It was like 120 in the garage and I felt like I was taking a steam bath. Maybe when it finally cools down around here I'll so the rest. I only keep the rear hatch door open about half way at shows so nobody will see it, so I can wait awhile.

The melts around the arm rest seem to be the hardest part for me. They look good straight on, but looking from the top you see a lot of the thin part. You dont see any of the cuts but would like to sink it in deeper. Maybe trim the thin edge down a bit?[:I] How about you?

All you folks that are doing the Welts. Be sure to send Mr Mike the pictures you have. He will post them there on his site for other folks to see.

You mean on the doors? No, I got the welt to go pretty far in the slit. Before I did it, I took a small screwdriver and dug into the slip to make it as deep as I could. I had to do that on the visors also to open the slit up as much as possible before putting the welt on.

I hope all this posting helps other folks

My best tool has been a butter knife, suggested fom another WELT person, but slid and not twist. Draped welt over the knife and slid it along a bit at a time pushing the welt in. This worked even better in the cargo area where it is very tight around the window.
