Two good name brands are Husky and Catch-All.
The Husky are a color-keyed, flexible plastic with a raised lip all around to contain water and slush. The Catch-All type also have the raised lip but have a carpet like nap. Both are waterproof. Google up some vendors for prices and info. |

Boy, you're planning pretty far in advance there gonzo!
Maybe they're a little cheaper this time of year? Time to google.

I bought a set of $10.00 mats at Wal-Mart that cover the rug almost completely and my mats and rugs ( 4 years old ) look brand new . Winter comes and I pull all my chrome stuff and my mats. I had a set of Morpar slush mats and didn't like them and ended up selling them on eBay. Them problem with the Mopar mats is they cover the mat area very well but don't cover the surrounding rug. You end up with a very clean area under the mats and a filthy area around the mats. They look good but that's it. Your money is better spent on a big thin Wal-Mart type mats.
One thing I've found that works very well to clean the rugs is Turtle Wax carpet cleaner. It has a scrubber built in.

Grouch, one thing I have found to clean those mats is my wife!
She has one of those carpet cleaners (Hoover I think) with a hand attachment and I tell you, it works wonders. My mats, I take in the house when the wifey pooh is doing the carpets which she does fairly often because of the dogs and the hand attachment finishes the main carpeting of the car. Now she feels involved in the car and tell her friends when they say how great the Cruiser looks, she can say "yeah, I did all that!"
