Walmart in the automotive department. its easy to mix and easy to use. it is a little thicker than maple syrup.

lol,

I think I might go out and try it. Any problems with getting it smooth around the edges of the shelf?

im doing that part today. For this part i picked up Fiberglass Jelly ( bondo brand) aparently it acts more like bondo body filler.
Make sure you use tape around the hard plastic parts you dont want to get resin on. I learned that the resin pulls right off of a smooth surface, like tape, and the plastic tools i used to mix and apply the resin.

OK, so far i have a base layer of resin coating most of the top of the shelf. I let that set enough so i could sand it to rough it up some. Then i took some Bondo Fiberglass Jelly Resin, mixed it up, and spread it over the previous resin smoothly and over the edges. It acts much like typical bondo body filler. Im letting that sit probably for a few days to let the resin really set. then ill start sanding it with an air file.

thats the update for now
