anybody know if yoy can shorten your shifter by cutting it

Just off the top of my head, it might be possible but very complicated since u have the main shaft (hallowed) with another rod going through it to let you move through gears (for automatic). As for manual, not sure about it but from my truck, you it's a solid shaft with a screw of some type holding it in place (with glue sometimes).

Don't have time to do a search but I know that there have been Cruisers that not only cut the shaft but also lengthen it. How they did it [:I]
