I am looking for a shift knob, My boyfriend wants it, and i thought it would be a good christmas gift. The one he wants is black with red flame, and i believe they light up!! If anyone knows where i can find this....please email me a link at PT_GF@hotmail.com!!! THANKS!!!

OK, those with Flameballs -- how did you run the wires to light it up? I'd love to have one, but would not be happy with wires running along the outside of the shifter shaft. (Say that 5 times fast!)

If you want the flameball to light up you have no choice but to run the wire down the shaft.
There is a wire running down my shifter in that picture but you cant see it. I've had plenty of people look at my car even in shows and not one person has seen the wire until I tell them about it. I ran the very thin wire down the shaft and into the boot. Once in their I wired into the wire plug for teh shifter lights in an auto which just happened to be there. You then just put some tape over the wire. I've just used black but if you used chrome tape it would be very hard to notice the wire. |
