Our daughter lives in OK, know the dust!! My '02 did NOT have a cabin filter, I installed the Briggs & Stratton air filter. It fit exactly, I have not checked the on in the '06 yet, but will soon. The opening size should be the same.

No. I read that some export PTs have the filter, but not US PTs.
The housing is under the plastic shroud where the wipers come poking out of at the base of the widshield, on the passenger side.
