Anyone ever added heated seats to their Cruser?

I guess not. The headed part is inside the seat so it might be hard and expansive to do. There are seat covers that plug into the 12V outlet that do the same job. Here's some stuff to look at:
Amazon.com: Wagan Tech IN-9738 Heated Seat Cushion: Automotive HeatedSeatKits.com - The Future is Warm 12V Heated Car Seat Cushion (Grey) - WWT-2108 Heated Car Seat - More Categories - Compare Prices, Reviews and Buy at NexTag - Price - Review

I had heated seats on my 2002 PT. They worked very well. In the summertime I would accidentely push the little button -- so I would be driving not knowing why I was sweating profusely.

For Christmas, my son purchased heated leather seats to install in my 2001 PT Cruiser. He was able to install the seats. Because he has an electrical background, we thought it would just be a matter of him plugging them in to enable the heated portion to work, but that has not worked. We purchased a Chilton's manual, but it did not show schematics for the heated seats. Could any one help me (him) with this?? We live in Michigan, and I am so anxious to be able to use the heated seats!

I believe you might need the "Heated Seat Relay" which seems to be in the fuse block to the left of the steering wheel on the dash. Also, you need to feed the circuit with the fuse (I think it's #4, 30 amps) in the power distribution center, behind and below the air box.
Hope this helps, let me know if you find everything. srg From the 2003 service manual: The heated seat system for this vehicle includes the following major components, which are described in further detail later in this section: ² Heated Seat Elements - Four heated seat elements are used per vehicle, two for each front seat. One heating element in the seat back and one in the seat cushion. The heated seat sensor is integral to the seat cushion heating element. The heated seat elements are integral to the front seat and seat back cushions. Refer to heated seat elements later in this section for additional information. ² Heated Seat Module - One heated seat module is used per vehicle. The module is mounted under the passenger seat cushion pan, near the forward edge of the seat. Refer to heated seat module in the electronic control modules section of the service manual for additional information. ² Heated Seat Relay - One heated seat relay is used per vehicle. The relay is located in the junction block and is responsible for distributing the voltage (B+) to the heated seat system. ² Heated Seat Sensors - Two heated seat sensors are used per vehicle, one for each front seat. The heated seat sensors are integral to each of the heated seat element assemblies. Refer to heated seat sensor later in this section for additional information. ² Heated Seat Switches - Two heated seat switches are used per vehicle, one for each front seat. The switches are mounted to each of the outboard front seat cushion side shields |
