2006 PT backseat recline?

Hi I have a 2006 PT Cruiser Touring....I was wondering if there is anyway to adjust the recline on the rear seats....I have a 17 year old handicaped son...his car seat fits in the back seat okay but the recline is not enough to let him ride comfortably....and the front seat is not a great option for long trips or trips with several adults....Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

Unless Chrysler changed something in the newer PT's, the rear seats click/snap into place with a D ring on either side and there's no way of adjusting the recline of the seats.

Anyone else like to confirm that?

The seats recline a little on the Caliber, you might want to go and have a look at one and see if it could be made to work.

I also just came across this today, front buckets made to fit in the rear, looks good and they could recline without the rear shelf. I think they must have cut the seat down a bit, as the front seats sit quite a lot lower than the rear. I don't know how hard/costly it would be, but it would be practical and hopefully would help out your situation.
