I noticed the "windows" in my rear window switches for illumination and notcied they didn't light up. Then I read somewhere that the illumination for them and the power door lock switches was dropped around 2003. Has anyone wired yours to work? If so would you share how you did it.
It seems it would be easy to tap into the illumination of the front window switches for the rear ones, but I'm not sure how to get illumination to the power lock switches...or for that matter if they will even light up. Thanks for any info! |

The power locks on the doors do light up on the earlier models but I don't have any idea how you'd go about making them light up once Chrysler decided to do away with it. They probably just took the light out of the button.

Crewzin hit the nail on the head... Chrysler took the LED out of the switches starting in 2003. So to get them to light up, you would have to install LEDs and wire them up which is not easy to do in those little switches!

Ok - thanks for the info. I love a challenge so this may be my new project. I'll follow up with results if I'm successful.
