Default HVAC

I have a 2002 P.T. and the HVAC Switch will not go to the defrost setting.

When I turn it to defrost is springs back and will not stay in the defrost position.

Doesn't matter where the fresh/internal air switch is, that will move to the fresh air position but it will still not remain in the defrost position.

If I manually hold the switch in the defrost position and turn the fan on nothing comes out of the vents.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks,

Jason

Welcome to the forum Jason. Never heard of your problem but found this under a search.....

Your heat works fine but defrost won't 2004 chrysler pt cruiser?

Check for a broken or disconnected duct

Check the operation of the vacuum actuated motors under dash

Check the operation of the selector switch
