Seems like time management could assist in those issues. Just an FYI, speeding is never a necessity.

Thanks man! I really appreciate it. I really wish I could show it off at car shows, but unless the person looking at it drives a PT themselves, they don't know it is not normally there! The starter button and red safety missile switch thing do seem to draw some attention though.

Radar is so messy that it is detectable before it can get a good reading on your speed and... I have good brakes!

Trust me, I respect the cops around here, they are all nice guys. the detector is iin case I'm not paying attention!
you know i always loved it when im driving with my mom or dad ( since i can't drive yet) and i see a cop and then you see a bunch of cars on the highway just slam on the brakes, that's basically telling the cop hey! I WAS SPEEDING!
i thought it's smarter just to let off the gas and kinda glide...

Oh I agree with you totally there. That is what I do whenever the speed-trap is set by my neighborhood if I am cruising at 5 over. The only time I use the brakes really is when I pick up the residual radar from all the way around the bend where they can't see me (which happens a lot, radar is messy)

Im thinking about geting one of these Im actually thinking about mounting it on and overhead console and taking out the compass and temp screen and mounting it there. I compared measurments and I think I might be able to get one to fit with modification to the overhead console.

Sooo.... I was just thinking a little about this topic and then thought it might be a little redundant. I mean I've seen many cars pulled over for going really fast, Rice burners, bean burners, hot dog stands, but The only time I've ever seen a PT Cruiser get pulled over was because the lady driving it had a light out. I doubt cops are gonna pay more attention to a PT then say... a Civic. Then again I'm not a cop. and the probably only pay attention to the cars doing illegal things.

I will admit that it feels like we fly under the radar a little bit, but I personally have been pulled over 4 times over the past 2 years. Three warnings and one ticket for 'no proof of insurance' (guy did me a favor.. was doing 14 over) that has now turned into a huge fiasco because the clerk's office says they can't read the statute # the officer wrote down. Yay for mandatory court dates!

How exactly did you make it stay in place? I have a 2001 and its like a giant empty hole behind there. Is there like a mounting bracket that screws into something?
