Default SHIFT KNOB

What tool do i need to take of my existing shifter knob and replace it with a new one, I have an automatic. It came with an allan key but it does not seem to work. I also have an allen key set, one fits but wont turn. any other suggestions?

If you have the cobra head (grey) shifter with the screw under the head, that's the only thing holding it on, so turn harder.

I have the original ball type knob that camewith the car. I am thinking that i might need a metric allen key as I got the Skull shift knob from the U.S. I am in Canada by the way.

Sorry. Without your profile being filled out or information about where you are or the year of your car, I took it that you had the original grey cobra head shifter. The ball type knob wasn't original equipment till years after the PT first came out.

OK, Very nice. Good luck on getting your shift knob off.

P.S. Don't go any further with your Super Girl avatar, it's still a family forum.

Think that may be a TORX screwdriver your after. A few things on the cruiser use TORX screws.
