Default gauge pillar pod installation

Hi. I bought a 3 gauge pod from Race and Street. It is the Autometer version I believe. For some reason I am having a problem getting the top portion of the gauge pillar pod to lay flush with the factory pillar to attach the push pins. The bottom seems to be Ok, but the top doesn't. Anybody have any ideas or suggestions? I have a 2003 GT. Thanks in advance.

I used small C clamps to hold everything in place.

Where did you clamp them at so that they don't show? The c-clamps I mean. Thanks Mean Green.

No, I clamped the gauge pod to the stock cover and then drilled holes and installed the push pins. Threw in some adhesive, too, to make the bond really strong. Just used the C clamps to hold it all together fo a while.
