Default Dash Top Removal

Has anyone removed the top cover on their dash? I have a rattle around the instrument panel and wanted to remove the top and try to add some padding or something and get rid of the rattle. Any thoughts?

Look at the first 2 files in this thread:

Speakers removal HOW TO

I can resume the process for you though.

1. Remove the power windows switch panel using a thin knife (butter) or something. Pry gently. Then disconnect the harness.

2. Remove all the 4 climate system knobs

3. Unscrew the Phillips screw behind the power windows panel

4. Pry out the center consol trim. No more screws, only some metal clips hold it

5. Remove the "A" pillar cover. No screws, only metal clips involved.

6. You will now see 2 Phillips screws each side of the first screw that you removed already. Unscrew them all.

7. Pull the dash cover to release the metal clips that hold it there

8. Pry up the front edge of the dash cover and then pull it toward you

Done!
