2004 interior center console

Hi, I've just gotten a "new" used 2004 PT in inferno pearl red and want a matching center console cover for the Cd player/ac controls. Does anyone know where I can get an exact matching cover...thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

Well, I can tell you where to by a chrome one, a carbon fiber one, and a wood one, but can't find anyone anymore that has different colors to match the guage and passenger air bag cover.

A lot of folks got hold of Chrysler matching spray paint and did it themselves. The console cover comes off really easy. Sand it down, some primer, color and clear coat.

You could also take the center console off (again, real easy), take it to a body shop and have them match and paint the console for you for a professional job. I did that for my vanity cover and upper strut bar. Cost is relative if you want a professional looking job.

I did it on my 2002, I sprayed primer after sanding w/600 wet & Dry, sprayed 4 coats of Steel Blue sanding with 800 w&d between coats and 4 coats of clear coat sanding between coats w/ 1000 w&d sand paper. It came out fantastic IMHO!!!!

Thanks. Without getting into trying to match the inferno red paint myself,I wanted to just find an after market infernon red exact match.
What about this site?

It looks to me they have a dash kit that comes in inferno red?

I used 3 cans of Steel Grey and 2 cans of Clear Coast, it is a lot cheaper than $120.00!!!

sdjaybird, Like you said under the link you posted: "Paintable Dash and Door Set" which means YOU paint it whatever color you want. The picture on the site is not Inferno Red.

These are kits that let you keep the original aside and paint the items in question any color you want so you won't mess up the originals.
