Default Why is my Autoloc keyless entry fob working backwards?

Hello All! I am new here and a new PT Cruiser owner. I always wanted one and my recent auto accident had one positive result....a new (used 2005) PT Cruiser! Anyway, my mechanic just installed the Autoloc automatic door lock and keyless entry kit and my fobs work in reverse. Unlock button locks the doors and lock button unlocks them. I called the company and they said that this will do no harm to the system, but it is a little weird! Does anyone know if the fix is a simple one? What needs to be done to get the fobs working correctly?

Run back to your mechanic or just use the buttons backwards.

No harm to your system but I would take it back to the installer to have it corrected.

Welcome.
Hold the remote up in front of a mirror when you use it...
Seriously, take it back to the installer...

Maybe you can think of it as an extra layer of theft protection? Even if some evildoer got his hands on your keyfob, he'll never get in.....

And welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum and this is now Sept. I'm slower then anyone here!

We just had our 2007 PT. worked on for three weeks now. The Driver's side knob wouldn't work with the key fob and they replaced the actuator in the door. It worked but we realized when we got home the black inside lock /unlock button didn't lock the door. We took it back the following week. They got a new clock/dash cluster since you control the locking from there too. They said that was the problem too. Now it works fine. During this whole thing our passenger mirror visor cover had broke off. It was under warranty too. They ordered the wrong one (navy Blue) instead of creme/beige. The following week they put it in and took our keys to reprogram them to work with the doors. Maybe this is what was needed for you...nothing more than a reprogram.

Anyway our mileage showed up different once the dash part was done. I thought the computer automatically sets it to the right mileage but gave us 500 miles less. We got that fixed too. We decided to get an extended warranty on the car before the 36000 miles show up which is very soon.
