Question Just Got My Cruiser.....

Hi Everyone,

My name is Chrissy, I'm new to the forum and the new and proud owner of a 2007 PT Cruiser! Just purchased last week, traded in my 2000 Ford Mustang, and I have to say I don't miss it at all!!

My Cruiser looks great, it's Pearlized Blue, (Stock) and I'm interested in adding some Chrome. I was on EBay looking up different kits to buy and was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts...As to where the best place to buy was, what to stay away from, etc.

I'd certainly appreciate any information anyone could offer!

Thanks!

Awesome, thanks for getting back to me. Do you do the work yourself, or do you take it someplace?

I have done pretty much everything on my car.
Besides installing the exhaust

I have learned alot from modding my car though. Never knew how to do any wiring before I did the LED's

Welcome. Good trade getting rid of the Mustang. Is it a turbo car?

I haven't bought any aftermarket parts for my car really but PTeazer is a member here and I've heard good things about his products. Maggie from Race & Street is a member on another PT Cruiser forum I belong too and lots of people have had good experiences with that company. They also have an eBay account.

Awesome.
I'm so overwhelmed with everything out there. I was going back and forth between pin striping or chrome. I think in the long run, I'll be happier with the chrome. I'm just worried about going too overboard with it. I don't want it to look gawdy, you know?

Keeping the factory hupcaps on the tires is just not even an option, I figured I'd do those first..

I like the looks of the cups behind the door handles...The problem that I have is that around here, (Philly Burbs) you just don't see many Cruisers that arent stock... So its difficult to really visualize.. You know?

No, Darling Darla is not a Turbo.
I'm looking on Race and Street now.

So then you do the majority of the work yourself? That's awesome.
Have you had to drive your Cruiser through the snow at all yet? I figure anythings got to be better then my old Mustang, "Bruce"...ha ha, (2000, with the Boss Engine) lol.

Hi and Welcome
I've had great experience with Maggie at Race and Street. Awesome customer service and she ships fast.
It's actually better to buy from her website where it's actually cheaper than her
ebay (fees I'm thinking) believe it or not. Either way your stuff is at your door
pronto

Karen

Yup pretty much have had to figure quite a few things out.

Heh I live in Orange County we rarely ever see rain. So the chances of having snow in the mountains are limited too. I figure my PT would handle pretty well though.
