Default power outlet problem

In my 2001 pt cruiser the lower power outlet/cigarette lighter thing doesnt work anymore. It worked a few days ago but i was messing with my radar detector and it suddenly stopped working. My gps wont charge in that outlet but the one closer to the stereo works. I couldnt find any fuses anywhere for either of them. I guess im asking if anyone knows where the fuse for it is? Or if anyone knows what could be the problem. Thanks

The Power Outlets fuse is number #19 in the PDC under the hood.

I just need to know how to run my wire from the radar detector to the fuze box? I picked up an inline fuze and i was just wondering how i should run it? I was thinking of using my ignition wire and splicing the two together so it would go on when i turn the key. Can anyone please help me?

The picture of the engine fuse box that I posted above has 4 fuses that are pink. They are spare fuses and should be used for extra accessories. I have my Aooga Horn, Undercar lighting and Amplifier using 3 of them.

You can use the rubber gourmet that goes threw the firewall that has the hood release. Half a dozen wires can be squeezed threw that same hole to get access to the fuses.

I also had this problem. The Owners Manual says it is a 20 amp fuse in No. 19 slot - BUT No. 19 slot is a 10 amp fuse per the fuse box stamp! After replacing all the inside fuses with no improvement (all THREE outlets were dead). I finally found the online post that said there was a fuse box in the engine - That did it! The 20 amp fuse was blown and when replaced, solved my problem. Hope this helps someone else.

What your saying sort of makes sense but it's what I already posted in my answer above and probably the post you finally found all over the forum.

Your owners manual clearly says on the top of the paragraph before the PDC picture and explanation of the fuses that it's the UNDERHOOD FUSES. You just didn't read the whole thing. Would have saved you some time.

I think one of the outlets are bad or corroded..... just my 2 cents.

these 4 fuses in the engine fuse box, are they similar to the places in my interior fuse box that dont have fuses in them. the access panel has them listed as things like 'power height adjustment" and such things that I do not have in my car. Can i 'fuse tap' these fuses to keep from overloading fuses that already have things they power *like the radio fuse for example*....in addition, if I wanted to install something that activated with say the "dome light' if i fuse tapped that fuse, would it actually come on and off with the dome, or would i have to actually trace the wire ITSELF and tap into it?? how do 'spare' fuses work vs ones already in use?
