Gear console light

Whats up everyone! Glad to join this forum. Hoping someone can help me out with this issue. My gear console light doesnt work. I have loosened up the console and have access to the light, but cannot seem to remove it. I cant see any visible clips and dont know if it just pulls out. Any info would be helpful. Oh it is an 06 touring edition. Thanks

Hey TorMx, Hopefully this will help ya out. I simply popped it out with a very little flathead screwdriver. Well I shouldnt say simply, cause it wasnt. There is a alittle edge around the bulb holder and with some effort was able to pry it out. I looked at the socket after it was out to see if there is clips or some kind of release that holds it in, and and didnt see anything noticeable. Now I was doing this by flashlight last night, but I looked at it the best I could and didnt see anything like that. And it does go back in hard, once it popped back in it wasnt loose or anything so I guess I am good to go and it works fine. I am assuming that you read the article like I did about removal of the console so I wont get into all that. Anyways hope this helps.

Anyways i pulled my light out because it was not working.Where can i find a replacement?

My light is a 194 bulb and I bought it from my local Wal-mart.

Hello. I have the same issue with a burnt out gear console light. I too have a 2006 model. I found the 6 screws that hold the console in place (two in front and four on console storage unit. But when I undid the screws, I could not figure out how to get the console off. I had trouble with the emergency brake.

Can you help with some links or instructions? I found some info on the 2004 but it seems the 2006 may be different.
