Not too difficult, once you get in there and start taking a look you should figure it out fairly easily, the rear seats just unlatch and lift out, but i do recommend having someone help you. Im not sure about the cloth seats, but my leather seats have to be filled with lead to be as heavy as they are.have to get someone to help me with the larger one or i find myself almost dragging it on the ground as i carry it .
I also recommend pulling the back ones out of the back hatch, it might be a bit more difficult, but it would be a shame to accidently scratch the paint pulling it out of the side

An old trick ive used is to put a dryer sheet under the seat. Works well to prevent static

The front seats are very easy to remove. It is just 4 bolts for each chair. To remove them you slide the seat all the way forward and climb in to the back seat and undo the two bolts on the back of the chair. Then slide the seat all the way back and undo the two bolts holding the front down and then I reclined the front seat forwards towards the steering wheel and you just carefully lift the whole seat out. If you have power seats and/or airbags there is also 2 electrical connections under the seats that have to be unhooked before you can pull the seats out.
Having someone who can help you lift would probably be beneficial to help you get the seats out without damaging anything. I pull my seats out a couple times a year to clean the car out really well. If you need more details let me know. |

Heya Karen,
Dang, your working ouble time on that PT of yours! ![]() I agree, the fronts are just 4 bolts each. Might need help pulling them out as their kinda bulky and a bit awkward. The rears just fold, and pull out. Also agreed to go through the back which is easier. If you run into any trouble,or you decide to go the other direction and maybe look at re-upholstering your seats, I can do that as well.
