Ran across this the other day and found it pretty interesting especially since there were several of us that did not know that the visor slid out.

Did you know . . .
Well, maybe you better look at the WHOLE list:
Nifty PT Cruiser Stuff

All models
Nifty rear shelf that can be put at several useful positions, including divider when the seats are tumbled or out. Has a plastic underside for carrying messy stuff, hooks for grocery bags, and of course, the tail gate party position.
Rear seats that fold flat, tumble forward, and are removable.
Front seat belts include height-adjustable turning loops and traveling inboard buckles for added comfort. User-ready child seat lower anchors and top tether anchors minimize child seat movement for all rear seating positions.
Daylight dash bright feature when lights are on. Turning the turn signal mounted switch past full normal bright turns the odometer and radio to daylight bright for daytime headlight use. Another notch turns on the overhead dome light plus the console light if you have one.
Glove Box — Locking with lamp - New from the Chrysler PT Cruiser web site.
Rear view mirror mounted reading lamps (deleted when equipped with overhead console.)
Steering Column — Height adjustable
Ventilation Ducts — Rear, located under and near the rear of standard center console
Rear doors open much wider than normal for easy entrance.
Center rear seat has shoulder belt (so do the other two.)
Theater dimming on dome lights. When you close the door, about 30 seconds later, instead of being plunged into darkness, the lights dim out in about 5 seconds.
There is a warning alarm if you leave the turn signal on for longer than 45 seconds.
Rear window defroster.
Rear window wiper.
Color matched instrument panel trim. (Pewter for taupe, white, black, silver.)
Driver side armrest.
Sliding Sun visors pull out to cover the side window.
One touch down drivers and passenger powered windows.

Limited only
Switch under hood sets off alarm if hood is opened.
Drivers seat has electric height adjustment up/down about an inch and forward/back about ½ inch with switch on side of seat.
The over head lights on the console have push buttons for reading lights.
Lamp in the cargo area.
Front head rests adjust up/down AND forward/back.

Limited & Option for F model
Chrome exhaust tip.
PT Cruiser embroidered mats.
Leather wrapped steering wheel.
Leather wrapped shift lever on automatic.

Limited and option for F and D model
Overhead console with compass, thermometer for outside temperature.
Speed control.
Moonroof with one touch open to ¾ (less noisy) second push to full open.
Fog lights.
Side airbags on front seats.

Limted and F model
Rear seats have head rests.
Remote keyless entry, engine immoblizer with two encoded keys. Car will start but die after 2 seconds if you have a standard key made. Has to be encoded key.
Side mirror defroster. Activates when rear defroster is turned on.
4 assist handles
Cargo area net
Front seat folds flat (8 foot ladder fits)
Lighted mirror in each visor.
Power door locks with central locking, speed sensitive (locks at 15mph.) One push on the door lock unlocks driver door, second push unlocks all doors and rear hatch. Same for remote keyless entry.
12volt outlet in cargo area.
Electric adjustable mirrors.
Tinted windows. (option for D)

Anti-lock brake option also has low speed traction control.

Radio volume will turn down even when the radio is off.
Fog lights turn off when the high beams are on.
The rear window switches are illuminated even when the lights are off, unless the window lock is on.
You can’t accidentally engage the starter when it’s running.
EVBP (electronic variable brake proportioning), included w/the anti-lock system, to balance front-to-rear lining wear, minimize brake pedal effort changes due to varying loads, & minimiz

The plastic rail will crack after extended use.
This happened on both of the PT Cruiser's that I own.

Funny you should mention that. I just noticed a 1" crack in my driver side rod this morning. I'm going to pull it off tonight and flow in some Super-Glue and see if I can stop it. ( Sorry for resurecting such an old thread. Did not check the dates....)
