Default Plastic thingy

Getting my new 2002 PT Cruiser is like having a baby. I got it home and the next day I'm looking at it and getting to know it!

Anyway, I noticed that one of the plastic thingys that covers the door lock is missing. The lock works fine and if you look in the hole you can see a screw that you could easily just screw another one into. If you had one...

Anyone know what those things are called so I can look it up and order one. Shockingly, when I Google "plastic thingy" I don't get many results.

Perfect. Mine are a creamish gray color to match the interior of the car. Maybe I'll swap them all out! Thank you!

Hi
They are also called lock pins. Google or eBay searches will turn up options.
If you want to replace the missing lock pin with an OEM matching unit for your car (or change all four doors), you may find it necessary to remove the door panel to install it because the door panel hole is slightly smaller than the hex base (for wrench tightening) of the door lock pin.
I have four OEM lock pins (ivory and taupe interior) that I can send (1 to 4) to anyone for $2.00 for the postage costs.
