Question fixing rear door locks

My 05 PT has manual door locks that lock when the car is started and unlock when it's turned off.

When it was about 1.5 years old, the driver's side rear door lock stopped locking and the passenger rear door lock stopped unlocking. The only way to open the passenger rear door is to pull up on the lock while someone presses the lock from the outside. The driver's rear door does not lock at all.

I took it in while it was still under warranty and they fixed the lock that wouldn't unlock (the other one was fine at the time) and it was okay for about 2 weeks. Then it broke again.

Anyone have this problem and fixed it? I am willing to try to see if the plastic lock guide has moved on both and that's the problem, but I'm nervous about taking the door panels off. I don't want to break the door clips.

Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

did you change out the door locks to after market one? or did it just stop working on it's own?

I bought the car when it was a year old so I can't be sure if it was aftermarket locks or stock. When I took it into the dealer they said they were aftermarket locks but the manual talks about the locks so I wasn't sure. I hadn't done anything myself to the locks.

I see this is an old thread, but I can still help if the questions still need answers.

Heres some questions for you:
Are there lock/unlock switches on any of the doors?
Is there a keyless entry remote of any kind? OEM or aftermarket?
If you open the door, then start the car, do the doors still try to lock?
