Default adjustable headrest

Anyone know where i might find adjustable headrests for my front seats? I'm 5'6" and the stock headrest is really uncomfortable if i lean back. I got spoiled by my beretta headrests, they were fully adjustable up, down and also foreward and back.

My understanding is that the first '01 PTs had adjustable headrests. (I'm sure you mean back-adn-forth, that's what I'm talking about).
You might try a dealer and see if he can order on that old part number, or try a salvage yard, or put and ad in the Classified forum here.

JaxPT, the 2001 'Limited Edition' had front head rests that would adjust up/down AND forward/back.

My 02 Limited does not have the adjustable headrests. I guess the headrest are kinda like the real chrome wheels (pre-chrome clad), they must of come on some of the 02s.

Does anyone here know how to adjust the headrests on an '01 Limited? I've tried getting it to pivot but am not sure I'm using the right fulcrum point. Do you push/pull at the top? The bottom? is there a release you have to hold while adjusting them?

You have to use some strength and they just pivot forward or backwards. Doesn't matter what height adjustment it's at. They don't go very far, maybe an inch or so.

"I think" you can tell if you have the pivoting kind if you look at the hole where the two height adjusting shafts go into the headrests. Mine are oval so the headrests can move forward and backward without stretching the leather covering. My owners manual says you also HAVE to have Leather seats for the headrests to be adjustable.

That's what I had thought CREWZIN. Mine also have oval bottom openings but I can't tell that they're moving at all and have done all but thwack them with a sledgehammer. If I knew more about upholstery I'd try & take the covers off & see if possibly the pivot is seized but haven't ever taken a headrest cover off before. Thanks though for confirming my suspicions about how they're supposed to operate. Am learning a lot of new things about this vehicle and these threads have been invaluable.
