ThatFatBaby, I've seen one painted with black spots like a cow. I'll see if I can find the photo.

Ok looking for Illinois vehicle laws. HAHAHAHA. I hate trying to find SPECIFIC things on the net.

Found them.
"FLASHING or MOVING LIGHTS: Flashing or moving lights other than turn signals or hazard indicators are prohibited. This does not apply to police or emergency vehicles." Nothing about blue lights. Just red lights that are visible from the front. "RUNNING BOARD LIGHTS: These are limited to one on each side. They must be nonglare white or amber lights." Hmm didn't think running board lights were legal at all. COOL! I wonder then if that means I can have wiper lights? |

Be careful not to just get stuff 'cos you can. See what's out there and formulate a vision of how you ultimately want your car to look. As you implement your picture, your theme, you discover more details you can address.
Hmmmmm...flames made of wood? I think that would be neat. I like fusion! Has anyone done that? |

ThatFatBaby, here's the info you need on lights in Illinois... no flashing blue lights
http://www.legis.state.il.us/legisla...s/92-0820.html Public Act 92-0820 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing Sections 12-205.1 and 12-215 as follows: (c) The use of blue oscillating, rotating or flashing lights, whether lighted or unlighted, is prohibited except on: 1. Rescue squad vehicles not owned by a fire department and vehicles owned or fully operated by a: etc, etc

More often than not, a turn signal means any of the following: 1. I have my "blinker" on, so I am entitled to this space. The laws of physics and the fact that a vehicle is already there is irrelevent. My blinker says so. [ )]2. In spite of the fact that I am already halfway into the turn/next lane, I am signaling for legal reasons, in case I hit someone, I can say "But I signalled!" [ )]3. I am making the next turn. No, the next one. No, the one after that, that one 1/2 mile from here. 4. The driver turned sometime ten miles ago (or 10-1/2, since he is probably also guilty of #3), as evidenced by the eternal blinking. Picture Mr. Magoo. Safety tip for when you get here: Florida does NOT require a signal for a lane change, only when you are changing direction. As far as undercar lights goes, I believe you cannot have the neon bulb itself visible (too distracting, makes sense) and colours I am not sure. I started looking for it on the FL DMV online, but never found anything (and got tired of looking, heh). Saki? Jax? |
