Default Passenger Armrest installed on a 2001 - help

I was wondering if anyone had the template and instructions that were produced prior to the 2002 bracket being used? The bracket is no longer available. I'm trying not to buy a 2002 seat to get the job done, since there are no pt's in the local junkyards.

Or does anyone have the 2002 recline bracket laying around?

thanks

There is a double arm rest you can buy. It takes the place of the single arm rest on the drivers seat and comes in leather or cloth.

thanks Crewzin. I'm aware, but I really want two singles. I've read postings were people mention the modifications, but I can't find the detailed instructions.

Just like the visor, I may have to tear apart the drivers seat to figure it out!

I have been tossing around some armrest/console ideas and decided to take the drivers armrest off in my car. It is very easy to do. IIRC, remove plastic cover and there is a torx bolt in there holding the armrest on.

Sorry for bring up an old post, but I just got a bunch of PT parts and in it was:
1. Passenger Armrest
2. Armrest botl
3. Armrest stop bolt

I've taken off the plastic passenger cover of my 01 PT and the bolt colar will not fit.
Is there a bracket I need to get, or do I need to drill out the rivets of this bracket and flip it?

Hey jetmax,

Here is what we did, I'm sure there are other ways to attach an 02 arm rest to an 01 seat.

Because there are no junk yards with PT's, in my area, I watched ebay for a long time. I final got the mount from an 02 seat. The guy selling it knew exactly what we were looking for. He had cut the left side off the seat back so it could be welded or bolted on to an 01 seat. My husband welded the mount to our 01 seat and it works perfectly.

Chrysler at on time made a bracket for the 01, but it has long since been discontinued.
