Question Painting interior parts...A few questions...

I set out on a mission to paint up some interior parts and the new folding mirrors I picked up today at the yard. I have a few questions...

1- how do you remove the overhead console and take it apart? Is there a trick to that?

2- Does the glovebox handle come off some way? I loosened the 4 screws that were next to it, but it didn't come off. I am assuming you guys just mask it off there?

Thanks!

Shawn

The overhead console is held in place by two spring clips such as used elsewhere like the "A" pillars.
Pull the forward end of the overhead console straight downward to release the prong clips. Then move the unit toward the window to free the two tabs that hold the back edge to the headliner.
The compass unit is attached to the roof metal by two tabs. Slid it rearward (IIRC) to release and the the other way to pull down; actually quite easy.

From my experience removing the glove box handle, you need to completely disassemble the box, removing all of the black panels and parts from the back side of the cover.
